Wife Urges Prison For Ex-Pa. School Bus Driver
UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) – A former school bus driver will spend two to four years in state prison after his wife asked that he get a stiff sentence for molesting a mentally disabled 16-year-old girl who later told a classmate she was “dating” the man.
Thirty-year- old Jason Freeland, of North Union Township, was sentenced Friday by a Fayette County judge, after previously pleading guilty to aggravated indecent assault and other crimes.
Freeland was fired by Rittenhouse Bus Lines after the Jan. 27 in which he picked up the girl from school, then took her to a van where he drove with the girl to an undisclosed location and touched her inappropriately.
Freeland's wife, Christina, told a judge she's divorcing him and asked for the stiff sentence because he's also victimized her and their three children.
