Less Than 30,000 Without Power In Pa.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Utility officials say fewer than 30,000 customers remain without power in Pennsylvania, down from the 1.2 million outages across the commonwealth during last week's major storm.
Peco says 12,000 customers were without power Monday morning, 8,000 of them in Bucks County and 3,000 in Montgomery County. FirstEnergy reports 12,292 customers without electric service and PPL says 4,980 customers are still without power.
State officials say eight polling places are without power as of Monday morning, less than 24 hours before the polls open for the general election. Five of those have generators in place and the other three were being assessed.
