PennDOT’s Travelling Workers Memorial Stops In Hustontown

Last Friday the PennDOT Travelling Workers Memorial was displayed at the Hustontown Volunteer Fire Co. The memorial features 84 crosses topped with hard hats and draped in safety vests. Each cross is named and represents a PennDOT employee who has died in the line of duty since 1970. Officials use the memorial to also stress the importance of slowing down and avoiding distractions while travelling through work zones.
