Forbes Road Goes Pink

There was a pink glow at Forbes Road High School last week, all in an effort to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. Forbes Road Student Council hosted its first annual “Go Pink Day.” The students hoped they would provide awareness and encourage individuals to take the steps needed and have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages. Student Council accepted donations in homeroom before assembling the symbol for breast cancer awareness on their gymnasium floor. The students intend to make “Go Pink Day” a tradition at Forbes Road High School.
