SUV Hauling Trailer Hits Pa. Bridge, Killing 2
FREDERICKSBURG, Pa. (AP) – Police say a sport utility vehicle hauling a trailer crashed into a bridge abutment in central Pennsylvania, killing two people.
State police in Lebanon County say the SUV was heading west on Route 22 in Bethel Township when it left the roadway.
Police said the SUV went into a ditch, down a grade and hit the abutment just before 4 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities said 62-yearold James Zipp of Lebanon was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner.
Sixty-four-year-old Dolores Sweitzer of Hamburg was flown to Hershey Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
