Eichelberger Receives “Defender Of Liberty” Award
The American Conservative Union ( ACU) announced its inaugural ACU Ratings of the Pennsylvania General Assembly that honor the Keystone State’s true conservatives. The ACU Ratings of the Pennsylvania General Assembly will include scores for each individual member in both the state Senate and House of Representatives, a description of the votes scored and a list of members receiving special recognition as “Defenders of Liberty,” “ACU Conservatives,” or “True Liberals of the Keystone State.” Eichelberger scored 100 percent on the ACU 2012 State Legislative Ratings.
Last week the ACU honored state Sen. John H. Eichelberger, Jr. (R-30) by presenting him with the “Defender of Liberty” award. This award is given to those members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly who were present and cast a vote for each adjudicated roll call and scored 100 percent on the ACU 2012 State Legislative Ratings.
“I am honored to be recognized with other members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly for the conservative values I represent for my constituency.” Eichelberger said.
