Call Of The Criminal Trial List Held

Judge Douglas W. Herman, president judge of the 39th Judicial District and the Fulton/ Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, presided over call of the criminal trial list held on Tuesday, October 9, at the Fulton County Courthouse.

 Jeffrey Lee Brown appeared in court last Tuesday on two counts of driving under the influence; one count each of resisting arrest and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer; and four summary offenses. Brown entered a guilty plea to driving under the influence, which was reduced to a Tier II, second offense, and three summary offenses. A presentence investigation will be conducted by the Fulton County Probation Department. He will be sentenced November 6.

 Danny Lee Buterbaugh Jr. failed to appear in court on one count each of driving under the influence and driving under the influence as a minor as well as six summary offenses. A bench warrant was issued in the case.

 Lance Alan Hixon will reappear in court on January 3, 2013, for a trial on charges of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children and simple assault.

 Norma Jean Holmes entered a no-contest plea to recklessly endangering another person. A presentence investigation will be conducted, and Holmes will be sentenced on November 6.

 Mark Allen Kazda appeared in court on two counts of driving under the influence and four summary offenses. Kazda pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and was sentenced to 30 days in the Franklin County Prison.

 Jeffrey Allen Mellott appeared in court on two counts of driving under the influence and four summary offenses. Kazda pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and was sentenced to 30 days in the Franklin County Prison.

 Lance Joshua Mellott was granted a continuance until the January 2013 trial term on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

 Amanda Lynn Repp failed to appear in court for criminal mischief. A bench warrant was issued for Repp’s arrest.

 Joseph Anthony Scavone was granted a continuance until the January 2013 trial term on charges of retail theft.

 Edward Scott will undergo a trial on November 15 in regard to charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.

 David Andrew Tyer will appear in court again on October 23 for a trial on charges of driving under the influence and two summary offenses.

 Jeremy Lee Woolford appeared on two counts of driving under the influence and three summary offenses. Woolford pleaded guilty to one count of driving under the influence. A presentence investigation will be conducted, and he will be sentenced on November 6.
