William R. Kelly Burnt Cabins, 91

William R. Kelly, 91, Burnt Cabins, died at 7:35 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2012, at his home following an extended illness.

Born April 12, 1921, in Canton, Ohio, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Snyder) Kelly. He was united in marriage to the former Martha V. Knisley August 10, 1949. His wife survives at their home.

He is survived by a son, William D. “Butch” Kelly, Burnt Cabins; two grandsons: Jonathan Kelly and Michael Kelly; and a greatgrandson, Corbin Kelly; and a sister, Betty Shaffer, Chambersburg.

Prior to his illness, he attended Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Shade Gap.

During his life, he was a dairy farmer.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, at Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. Rev. Mike Purnell officiated. Interment was in Burnt Cabins Cemetery.
