Walnut Grove Church of God had its family fall fun day on Sunday afternoon, with hayrides and games for all ages.

Don and Harriet Peak and Jack and Judy Appleby and families enjoyed an apple butter boil on Saturday at the home of Lynn and Julie Knepper and family.

Special thanks is extended to Hilda Wilson, Tim and Staci Snyder, Alicia and Lily Hamman for giving of your day to help and to Sandy Ridge Market for allowing the use of its building for the Angel Wings benefit for the Cook family. The event would not have been possible if not for the kindness and support (not to mention talent of cooking the chicken) of Dan Murphy, Rory Myers, John Fortney and other members of the Shade Gap Lions Association.

Donna Locke visited with Irene Park on Friday at Meadowview Manor. Later in the day Ruth Grissinger and Donna were visiting while on the road.

The Grissinger farm was busy on Sunday with an apple butter boil and outdoor picnic. The weather was beautiful and the kids enjoyed romping through the leaves and checking out the farm animals. It was a great day of fellowship and fun, full of memories to pass on.
