Immanuel Bible Church had four wagonloads of folks enjoying a hayride and bean soup dinner on Sunday evening.

Walnut Grove Church of God had its family fall fun day on Sunday afternoon, with hayrides and games for all ages.

Don and Harriet Peak and Jack and Judy Appleby and families enjoyed an apple butter boil on Saturday at the home of Lynn and Julie Knepper and family.

Special thanks is extended to Hilda Wilson, Tim and Staci Snyder, Alicia and Lily Hamman for giving of your day to help and to Sandy Ridge Market for allowing the use of its building for the Angel Wings benefit for the Cook family. The event would not have been possible if not for the kindness and support (not to mention talent of cooking the chicken) of Dan Murphy, Rory Myers, John Fortney and other members of the Shade Gap Lions Association.

Donna Locke visited with Irene Park on Friday at Meadowview Manor. Later in the day Ruth Grissinger and Donna were visiting while on the road.

The Grissinger farm was busy on Sunday with an apple butter boil and outdoor picnic. The weather was beautiful and the kids enjoyed romping through the leaves and checking out the farm animals. It was a great day of fellowship and fun, full of memories to pass on.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will host many activities for the annual Fulton Fall Folk Festival this weekend. On Friday evening there will be a roast beef dinner. Saturday’s activities include a slippery potpie allyou can-eat lunch, with open stage beginning at 6 p.m. A smorgasbord lunch will be held Sunday with six meats and many side dishes.

The Angel Wings Annual Fall Craft Show will be held October 27 and 28 at the Orbisonia Lion’s Club building. A few spaces are available so please contact Deb at 814- 599-8687 for more details.
