Commissioners Handle Routine Agenda
The Fulton County commissioners tackled a routine agenda last Tuesday morning, giving a nod of approval to several applications for payment and change orders.
Applications for payment were authorized for Keystone Electric Inc. in the amount of $19,238; Rodney B. Smith Plumbing and Heating Inc., $2,609; and Carl B. Frantz Plumbing, $14,526. All applications for payment are dealing with the renovation of the county sheriff’s office.
Change orders were then approved with Keystone Electric to deduct the amount of $250 from the work being done at the sheriff’s office. Furthermore, Carl B. Frantz Plumbing will receive an additional $1,532.71. A third change order was authorized for East Coast Contracting in the additional amount of $2,696.61.
A quote submitted by TMS Excavating was approved and a contract was in turn awarded for the installation of stormwater mitigation measures at 116 West Market Street in the amount of $2,580.
An agreement was penned with Mifflin County to house prisoner Jason Patrick Phelan at its facility beginning immediately through the end of sentence in 2013.
A purchase of service agreement was approved with VisionQuest National, Ltd.
Business manager Tim Stanton reviewed the current status of the budget, which is showing a projected annual deficit of approximately $63,000. At the start of the year it was expected the county’s deficit would total almost $290,000.
