Thursday, October 25, has been declared as Trick-or- Treat Night in the borough. Children may trick-or-treat from 5 p. m. to 7 p. m. at homes where the porch lights are on. The annual Halloween parade will begin at 7 p.m.

The descendants of the late Pete and Bessie Miller held their annual reunion in the community center at Fort Loudon on Sunday, October 7.

Columbus Day was observed Monday, October 8.

Sympathy goes out to the families of Judy Esque and Nancy Poole, who passed away last week.

Melissa Deshong and Robin Dawley attended a bachelorette party on Saturday in Baltimore for Melissa’s sister.
