Walnut Grove Women’s Prayer Group had devotions on the road on Saturday as they travelled to Lewistown for breakfast and shopping. The 10 ladies also visited Irene Locke at Meadowview Manor and Eloise Swope, Cleo Fraker, Ron Brown and Short Devlin at Woodland Retirement Home.

Immanuel Bible Church took a busload of folks to the Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster on Saturday for the show, “Jonah.” Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the show. A special thank-you is extended to Tracie Greenland for organizing the event.

If you saw some strange actors out and about on Sunday in Three Springs and Orbisonia, four groups from Immanuel Bible Church were participating in a scavenger hunt. Some of their activities included taking a wagon ride down a sidewalk, talking to an invisible stranger, hugging a statute and even taking a dip in a pool. Thanks to all who participated in the event.

Roger and Pat Ramsey visited with Brian, Emily, Micah and Adeline Ramsey on Sunday evening.

Guests visiting at the home of Ruth Grissinger last Saturday evening were Terry and Tang Gibbons, Dodie Price, Nin Hiles Jr., Frank Robinson, Donnie and LeighAnn McAllen, Tim and Staci Snyder, and Renee Anderson.

Recent visitors with Steve, Karen and Terri Grissinger were Dan Gaff and friend Barb, Buzz and Bea Covert, Donna Locke, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, and Ramon and Tammy Martin.

Angel Wings will sponsor a chicken dinner to benefit the family of Angela Hamman Cook Saturday, October 13, at the empty building near Sandy Ridge Market beginning at 11:30 a.m. The meal will include open pit grilled chicken, baked beans, applesauce and a roll for $7.50. All proceeds go to the family, as promised to Angie. Please contact Ruth Grissinger to make donations to defray the cost of the meal items.
