Southern Fulton 1

Southern Fulton gave up five goals during a 12-minute stretch of the second half of last Friday’s match that ended in a 5-1 loss to Bishop Walsh. Josh Voight scored the Indians only goal in the non-league game.

McConnellsburg 1

Windber 0

Jake Boehme found the back of the net only 25 seconds into overtime last Thursday evening to lead the McConnellsburg Spartans to a 1-0 win. Goalkeeper Nick Daniels tallied six saves in goal during the non-league match.

Chestnut Ridge 3

Southern Fulton 2

Southern Fulton’s season record dropped to 0-4 last Wednesday when Chestnut Ridge narrowly clinched the Sideling Hill League match 3- 2. Taylor Bohrer scored both goals for the Indians, who received assists from Josh Voight and Mason Bard. Goalkeeper Tim Mottern made seven saves in goal.

Northern Bedford 6

Forbes Road 1

Leading by two following the halftime break, Northern Bedford easily pulled away last Wednesday to defeat Forbes Road 6- 1. James Kendall scored the lone goal for the Cardinals, while J.J. Martz recorded an assist. Meanwhile, Mack Hawkins had a whopping 15 saves in goal.

McConnellsburg 2

Everett 0

McConnellsburg shut out the Everett Warriors last Monday for the second time this season. The Spartans won the Sideling Hill League match by the score of 2-0 with goals from Jesse Swope and Tristin Deneen. Nick Daniels closed out the game with three saves in goal.

Tussey Mountain 0

McConnellsburg garnered its second straight win last Thursday with a 3-0 victory over Tussey Mountain. Libby Strayer posted two goals and an assist, and Sarra Kendall added both a goal and an assist. Teammate Nikki Fleming also had an assist. Goalkeeper Sam Roberts preserved the shutout with seven saves.

McConnellsburg 0

The McConnellsburg Lady Spartans saw their season record dip to 2-4 last Thursday when the Everett Warriors walked away with a 3-0 Sideling Hill League victory. Jessi Keefer recorded four kills, two blocks and six digs during the win, while teammate Heaven Daniels had four kills. Kylie Keefer tallied four kills, and Katie Shore posted 12 digs.

Southern Fulton 3

Hancock 0

The Southern Fulton Lady Indians clinched their very first win of the fall season last Thursday with a decisive 3-0 win over Hancock, Md. Emily Barton had a strong game for the Indians with 12 service points, four kills, four aces and two blocks. Teammate Jenna Palmer added 10 service points, four blocks and three aces. Abby Hawkins chipped in 15 assists, and Melanie Deneen finished with 14 digs. Kristin Rohm contributed 12 service points.

Chestnut Ridge 3

McConnellsburg 0

McConnellsburg dropped last Tuesday’s Sideling Hill League match by three straight sets to Chestnut Ridge. Heaven Daniels and Deanne Dickerson led the Lady Spartans, with Daniels totalling two kills. Dickerson also had two kills but added on six digs. Gabby Danner recorded four assists and five digs, and Jessi Keefer rounded out the day with three blocks.

Northern Bedford 3

Southern Fulton 2

Southern Fulton lost a close match against Northern Bedford last Tuesday, dropping the Sideling Hill League match by the score of 3-2. Emily Barton rallied for a total of six kills, five blocks, 16 service points and three aces to lead the Lady Indians. Teammate Jenna Palmer added five kills, 15 service points and four aces. Abby Hawkins dished out 16 assists, and Melanie Deneen chipped in seven digs.

Forbes Road Finishes

Tourney 1-1

Forbes Road split its games at Saturday’s Linda Rose Memorial Tournament held in Donegal, Pa. The Lady Cardinals dropped a match to Conrad Weiser by the score of 3-0 and followed it with a win over North Allegheny on penalty strokes. Goalkeeper Olivia Mills made four saves in goal against Conrad Weiser as well as North Allegheny. Kiersten Cline, Tiffany Thomas and Braylin Hohman each scored during the penalty stroke shootout.

Forbes Road 8

Huntingdon 0

Forbes Road trounced the Huntingdon Bearcats for the second time this fall season, winning last Thursday’s Keystone League match with eight unanswered goals. Malea Truax rallied for three goals, and Corri Parsons posted two goals and two assists. Brittany Truax added two goals and one assist, and Shania Gelvin chipped in a goal and assist as well. Others assisting were Sammi Clippinger (2), Mina Wilt (2) and Braylin Hohman.

Greencastle-Antrim 1

Forbes Road 0

Greencastle-Antrim managed one goal following the halftime break last Monday to inch by Forbes Road in non-league action. Lady Cardinal goalkeeper Olivia Mills blocked six shots in goal.
