Almeda Nead has a spine fracture but is anxious to get back to work. We wish her a speedy recovery.

Our sympathy is also extended to the family of Angela Hamman Cook. Our prayers go out to her family as they deal with the loss even though heaven has gained an angel.

Karen and Terri Grissinger and Tammy Martin attended a surprise 16th birthday celebration for Maddison Wible last Saturday at the Shade Gap Picnic Grounds. It’s hard to believe that little girl we used to keep is old enough to drive. Maddison will be sporting around in a PT Cruiser, once she passes her driver’s test.

James Locke, Tiffany Moore and Kaylee visited with Gordon and Donna Locke on Saturday.

Donna Locke and Joan Wible attended a conference in Johnstown last week.

Pat Ramsey enjoyed spoiling grandchildren Micah and Adeline last Saturday at their home near Newburg.

George and Heather Locke and Joy visited with Irene Park at Meadowview Manor on Thursday.

Tom Streightiff, Ramon and Tammy Martin, and Steve Grissinger attended the Penn State and Temple game on Saturday. Karen Grissinger traveled along and took in some area shopping.

Recent visitors with Steve, Karen and Terri Grissinger were Buzz and Bea Covert, Donna Locke, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, and Ramon and Tammy Martin.

Angel Wings will sponsor a chicken dinner to benefit the family of Angela Hamman Cook Saturday, October 13, at the empty building beside Sandy Ridge Market beginning at 11: 30 a. m. Please see Ruth Grissinger to make donations to defray the cost of the meal items.

Angel Wings annual fall craft show will be October 27 and 28 at Orbisonia Lions Club building. Vendors can contact Deb at 814-599-8687 for more details.

Several area churches will sponsor a showing of the movie “Courageous” >at Three Springs Firehall September 28 and 29. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m., and the movie will begin at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public. Please come out and join us for this event.
