Southern Fulton 26

Meyersdale 30

Southern Fulton had several top finishers last Thursday, pushing the Indians ahead for a narrow win over Meyersdale. Josh Voight came in second for the Indians with an overall time of 18:27, while third-place finisher Tyler Richards was only three seconds behind with his recorded time of 18:30. Jacob Pryor nailed down a sixth-place win after finishing in 20:22, and Mason Bard was ninth with a time of 21:13. Meanwhile, the girls also ran against Meyersdale last Thursday but the race wasn’t recorded, according to reports. Macey Hollenshead finished 20th overall with a time of 22:27. Mel Deneen had the second-best performance for the Lady Indians. Deneen placed 28th after having finished the race in 24:17.

Fairfield 2

Jesse Swope connected for two goals within 30 seconds of one another to push McConnellsburg ahead Saturday. McConnellsburg’s lead, however, slipped away and ended in a 2-2 tie with Fairfield. Goalkeeper Nick Daniels had nine saves.

FCCCS 10

Carlisle Christian 2

Fulton County Community Christian School beat out Carlisle Christian last Friday dumping in 10 goals for a 10- 2 non-league win. Skyler Gordon posted four goals, while teammate Jesse Stoner added two. Austin Mellott, Caleb Gingerich and Jenae Gordon each recorded one goal.

Hyndman 4

Forbes Road 0

Hope for Hyndman scored two goals in each period last Friday evening to defeat the Forbes Road Cardinals 4-0. Goalkeeper Mack Hawkins finished out the game with eight saves in goal.

McConnellsburg 4

Southern Fulton 1

Southern Fulton fell behind 2-1 last Wednesday and wasn’t able to make up the deficit during their 4-1 loss to McConnellsburg. Mc- Connellsburg saw Jesse Swope finding the back of the net twice during the league match, while Jake Boehme and Casey Randler both had a goal. Randler, Tristin Deneen and Patrick Keefer all tallied assists. Goalkeeper Nick Daniels rounded out the day with eight saves as did Indians goalie Tim Mottern. Mason Bard scored the lone goal for Southern Fulton.

Fannett-Metal 4

Forbes Road 0

After having not scored a goal in its first two games of the season, Fannett-Metal made up for lost time, downing Forbes Road 4-0 last Wednesday. Goalie Mack Hawkins finished out the Sideling Hill League match with 12 saves.

Highland View 14

FCCCS 2

Highland View walked away for a 14-2 non-league win last Wednesday over the Fulton County Community Christian School Chargers. The Chargers were led offensively by Skyler Gordon and Caleb Gingerich, who both posted one goal.

McConnellsburg 3

Hyndman 0

After scoring one goal during the opening half last Tuesday, McConnellsburg extended its lead following the halftime break for a 3-0 win over Hope for Hyndman. Colton Strait, Jake Boehme and Casey Randler each rallied for a goal, while teammate Tristin Deneen recorded two assists. Nick Daniels finished with four saves.

Mercersburg Academy 7

McConnellsburg 0

Mercersburg Academy blasted McConnellsburg last Thursday, easily winning the non-league match with seven unanswered goals. Goalie Sam Roberts tallied 17 saves for the Lady Spartans during the game.

Windber 0

McConnellsburg’s offensive effort continued to work well together last Monday night, trouncing Windber with nine unanswered goals. Libby Strayer recorded three goals, while Sarra Kendall, Brittany Parson, Nikki Fleming, Alexis Mellott, Haley Garlock and Sierra Sherman each added one. Fleming also dished out two assists, and Kendall and Kimber Messinger each had one. Goalie Sam Roberts preserved the shutout with two saves.

Everett 1

McConnellsburg upped its season record to 4-1 last Wednesday with a decisive 8- 1 Sideling Hill League win over Everett. Libby Strayer continued to lead the Lady Spartans’ offense with three goals and one assist. Sarra Kendall tallied two goals as did Nikki Fleming, who also tacked on an assist. Alexis Mellott totalled both a goal and an assist and Brittany Parson posted two assists. Jordin Smith an assist as well. Goalie Sam Roberts posted two saves.

Forbes Road 2

Mercersburg Academy 0

Forbes Road had two Lady Cardinals find the back of the net last Friday evening for a 2-0 non-league win over Mercersburg Academy. Malea Truax and Brittany Truax both scored for Forbes Road, while Truax, Kiersten Cline and Corri Parsons all contributed an assist. Rose Clippinger had one blocked shot in goal.

Southern Huntingdon 0

Forbes Road connected for four goals in the opening half last Tuesday and chipped in five more following the halftime break for an uncontested 9-0 win over Southern Huntingdon. Malea Truax and Shania Gelvin both tallied two goals, and Gelvin also added three assists. Brittany Truax, Kiersten Cline, Lara Cromer, Braylin Hohman and Mina Wilt all contributed a goal, and Cline recorded four assists as well. Corri Parsons finished with two assists. Goalie Olivia Mills preserved the shutout with two blocked shots.

Emmanuel Christian 3

Emmanuel Christian and Fulton County Community Christian School battled it out over five sets with the Chargers coming up short in the 3-2 non-league loss. Hannah Beddow provided 11 service points and eight assists for the Chargers, who also received seven kills from Jenae Gordon. Rachel Weibly finished with eight service points.

Fannett-Metal and Mc- Connellsburg battled it out over five sets last Thursday, with Fannett-Metal coming out on top for the Sideling Hill League win. Jessi Keefer recorded 10 kills and seven blocks for the Lady Spartans, who also got five kills and seven aces from Kylie Keefer. Deanne Dickerson tallied five kills, five aces and 11 digs. Gabby Danner had 17 assists, and teammates Caitlin Lynch and Katie Shore both totalled 14 digs.

Southern Fulton 0

Southern Fulton dropped last Friday’s non- league match in three consecutive sets to Shanksville. Leaders for the Lady Indians include Emily Barton, who tallied five kills. Teammate Chelsea Sipes added three kills and 10 service points, while Abby Hawkins and Melanie Deneen had eight assists and seven digs, respectively.

McConnellsburg fought back to win the third set last Tuesday, but it was too late as Hope for Hyndman walked away with a 3-1 win. Jess Keefer tallied 19 kills and two blocks, while teammate Kylee Keefer posted seven kills. Gabby Danner dished out 27 assists and recorded four aces, while Deanne Dickerson and Brandi Welsh both finished with 18 digs. Katie Shore ended with 10 digs.

Chestnut Ridge 3

Southern Fulton 0

Chestnut Ridge showed Southern Fulton why it’s the reigning Sideling Hill champion last Wednesday. Ridge held the Lady Indians to only 24 points in three straight sets for another league victory. Jenna Palmer recorded seven digs and four service points for Southern Fulton, who also received three service points from Emily Barton.
