Identity Theft Repor ted

A 52-year- old Breezewood area man told state police investigators he was the victim of identity theft on Wednesday, September 5. According to reports, the banking information of the victim was used to make unauthorized purchases at 6:30 p.m. The location of the identity theft was 1215 Lincoln Highway in Brush Creek Township.

One Accused Of Assault

Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg have accused a 42-year-old McConnellsburg woman with simple assault following an incident at 102 Lincoln Way West. Police reported the woman allegedly punched a 48-year- old woman, also from McConnellsburg, in the mouth on Tuesday, September 11, at 9:40 a.m. The victim lost several teeth in the attack. Police did not release the name of the accused in the incident.

Police Make DUI Arrest On Interstate

State police arrested a Shelocta, Pa., man for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on September 13 along Interstate 70. Charges against Robert Allen Odenkirk, 52, in the 6:46 p.m. incident are pending through the office of Magisterial District Judge Carol Jean Johnson.

Metal Taken

Various scrap metal as well as several pieces of plate steel, loader arms from a track loader and an oil trailer furnace were stolen from 817 Camp Ridge Road in Licking Creek Township. The theft is believed to have occurred between September 4 and 12. Victim is a Harrisonville area man. Anyone having further information pertinent to this incident should contact state police Trooper Watkins at 717-485- 3131.

Three Injured In Two-Vehicle Crash

Three individuals suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate during a twovehicle collision along Route 16 in Ayr Township last Thursday afternoon.

Pennsylvania State Police at the McConnellsburg barracks reported Jed R. Imbraguglio, 38, of Mercersburg, was heading westbound when he attempted to make a left-hand turn. Imbraguglio’s 1999 Jeep Cherokee turned into the path of an eastbound 2010 Nissan Altima driven by 29-year-old Karen L. Welch of Big Cove Tannery.

Imbraguglio and Welch were both wearing seat belts during the 3:45 p.m. accident. Welch’s passenger, a 4- year-old girl, was secured in a child safety seat. Both vehicles were disabled as a result of the damage.

State police noted they will charge Imbraguglio with turning movements and required signals.

Megans Law Violation Reported In Burnt Cabins

A convicted sex offender from Aliquippa, Pa., was arrested in Fulton County last Friday after it was determined he had been living in Burnt Cabins for more than three months without reporting his new address to Pennsylvania State Police.

Forty-five-year- old Anthony Carroll Brown was arraigned for the Megans Law violation on September 14 before Magisterial District Judge Devin Horne. Brown was remanded to the Franklin County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Marijuana Found

Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg found alleged marijuana plants growing on the Thorny Bush Lane, Union Township, property of 63-year-old Daniel Roberts of Warfordsburg. The plants were reportedly found on Saturday, September 1, at 4:30 p.m. Roberts is to be charged with posses- sion of a controlled substance.

Medication Stolen

Various prescription pills were stolen from 49 Hillside Estates, McConnellsburg, on Friday, September 14, at 5 p.m. Victim of the theft is a 61-year-old McConnellsburg woman, state police said. Anyone having further information linked to this case is asked to contact state police Trooper Piasecki at 717- 485-3131.

Copper Wire Taken

Several rolls of Rome-Ex copper wire were stolen from 654 Big Cove Tannery, Mercersburg, between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 13. In addition, state police noted a half roll of THHN copper was removed from the location as well as a 55-gallon rubber drum. Victim is a 21-year-old male from Big Cove Tannery. Anyone with additional information pertinent to this burglary and theft is urged to call state police Trooper Bartlett at 717-485-3131.

Cash Stolen During Party

A 19-year- old McConnellsburg woman told state police investigators cash was taken from her wallet while a small party was going on at her home located on the 500 block of Lincoln Way East. The woman said $575 was stolen from her wallet on Sunday, September 16, between 12:01 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. Anyone having further information concerning this theft should immediately call state police Trooper Remeikas at 717-485-3131.

Car Overturns

A southbound 2001 Volkswagen Jetta struck a deer along Great Cove Road on Sunday, September 16, before travelling into a ditch and overturning.

Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg alleged driver Jeffrey D. Vangosen of Hancock, Md., fled the crash scene in Belfast Township on foot. He did not notify law enforcement authorities of the crash that occurred at 2 a.m. just south of the intersection of Southwood Drive.

He was not injured and was reportedly using a seat belt. Vangosen, 26, will be cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Police Make DUI Arrest

Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg have filed charges of driving under the influence of alcohol against 56-year-old McConnellsburg resident Michael Keith Wilson. Wilson was observed travelling southbound along Great Cove Road at a “high rate of speed” on Saturday, September 15, at 1:59 p.m. Wilson is charged through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.

Man Charged With Public Drunkenness

Tyler Ryan Smith, 25, Three Springs, was cited for public drunkenness by state police following an incident at 524 Poplar Street in Mc- Connellsburg Borough. Police investigators said on Saturday, September 15, at 8:10 p.m. Smith was publicly intoxicated, “uncooperative and then became combative.” Charges are through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.
