Gary L. Duckwall Sr. Berkeley Springs, 70

Gary Leo Duckwall Sr., 70, Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital.

Born August 17, 1942, in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of the late Emerson Leo and Violet Fern Michael Duckwall.

He was a member of Berkeley Springs Church of Christ.

He was a 1960 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He had worked as an aviation mechanic with Fairchild Hiller Aircraft in Hagers-town and retired in 2004 as an electrican with Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg.

He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4433 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1483 in Berkeley Springs. He enjoyed computer games and puzzles.

He is survied by two sons: Gary Leo Duckwall Jr., Berkeley Springs, and Gregory Lee Duckwall of Charleston, W.Va., and one grandson, Chase Emerson Duckwall, Needmore.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Mary Sheeder Duckwall, July 10, 2011.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 15, at Berkeley Springs Church of Christ. Douglas Petty officiated. Military honors were provided by Tri- State Honor Guard. Interment was private.

Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs, was in charge of arrangements.
