Another beautiful weekend to enjoy. This kind of weather is great, but than fall breezes are approaching. Our sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Dorothy Shotts, who passed away last week. We will all miss her. Also our sympathy to family and relatives of Ronald Hall, who passed away last week.

A nice crowd attended the 10th anniversary services and meal at Knobsville United Methodist Church on Sunday. Guest speaker was Rev. Elaine Sheaffer-Stroud, assistant to the Altoona District superintendent. All enjoyed the meal and services.

Happy birthday wishes to my granddaughter, Brooke Sheeder, on September 21.

The annual Lynch reunion will be held at Needmore Firehall Sunday, October 7. Hope to see the Lynch folks and families. Bring a coverd dish and an item for auction and enjoy the afternoon. The meal time is 1 p.m. We always have a good time.

Election Day is fast approaching. If you aren’t registered to vote, take time to do so as this is a very important election. You will be electing the leader of our country. Also you must have voter ID in order to vote this time.

Household Hint: To prevent bedside table crowding, hang a multi-pocketed shoe bag by the bed. This makes a handy holder for tissues, eye glasses, combs and the other little things that a bedridden patient may need.
