Southern Huntingdon’s JV Lions made Saturday a clean sweep over the Cowboys, claiming a 24-0 victory. After kicking off to open the game, the Cowboy defense started strong, forcing Southern into a three-and-out. Fulton County’s offense then established some momentum behind the strong running of Taysean Foster, Zander Sipes and Brandon Shippy. Southern kept the Cowboys out of the end zone, however, while establishing their own strong running attack en route to four touchdowns on the day.
The Cowboys’ best opportunity to score came near the end of the first half. Colton Mellott connected with Sipes on a long pass, but the half expired before the Cowboys could cross the goal line.
