Congratulations to Will and Jen Greenland on the birth of their son, Colin William, last week. Big sister Emily and brother Caleb are ready to start spoiling him a bit.

Gordon and Donna Locke enjoyed spoiling granddaughter Kaylee last Saturday. Aunt Karen also stopped in for a baby snuggle time. Parents James Locke and Tiffany Moore anxiously returned to pick her up on Saturday evening.

Congratulations to Jared and Alison Carlson, who were wed on Sunday, September 2 in McMurray, Pa. Jared is the son of Brent and Joann Carlson.

Buzz and Bea Covert attended a birthday celebration over Labor Day weekend for Kean and Tasha Goshorn.

Angel Wings will sponsor a chicken dinner to benefit Angela Hamman-Cook on Saturday, October 13, at Sandy Ridge Market beginning at noon. Please see Ruth Grissinger to make donations to defray the cost of the meal items.

Angel Wings annual fall craft show will be held October 27 and 28 at the Orbisonia Lions Club Building. Vendors can contact Deb at 814- 599-8687 for more details.

The annual Brown reunion was held at Clear Ridge on Sunday afternoon. Although the turnout was light, everyone enjoyed catching up on each other’s families and aches and pains.

Kristi Watkins and Ron Enyeart participated in a tough mudder race at State College on Sunday. Congratulations to both for taking on that challenge.

Several area churches will be sponsoring a showing of the movie “Courageous” at Three Springs Fire Halln September 28 and 29.

Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m and the movie will begin at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public. Please come out and join us for this event.

In spite of the rainy weather, Fred and Sharon Horne, Fred and Sue Fleming, Donnie and Panda Horne and Roger and Pat Ramsey travelled to the Greencastle American Legion Picnic Grounds for the Hubcaps Show on Saturday afternoon. Equipped with canopy and umbrellas, every- one stayed mostly dry.

Janet Sipes, Tammy Martin, Karen and Terri Grissinger had a great weekend enjoying the ocean view at Bethany Beach. On Friday they were entertained by a school of dolphins. While there, the group traveled north to Rehoboth Beach and south to Fenwick Island and Ocean City.

Recent visitors with Steve, Karen and Terri Grissinger were Trav Madden, Gordon and Donna Locke, Tom, Mamie and Tim Streightiff, Randy Anderson and Cindy Book, Dan Jenakovich, Chris Brant, James and Tiffany Moore, and Ramon and Tammy Martin.

Three Springs Fire Co. will have a meal Sunday, September 16.

The Clear Ridge ladies and gents will have a festival Thursday, September 13, beginning at 4 p.m.
