New Latter-day Saint Missionary

Sister Maricela Montes, a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has transferred to a new area within the Baltimore, Md. Mission. Sister Joanna Morrill has joined Sister Meghan Andersen in serving the Hancock Ward.

Sister Morrill, from Cornelius, Ore., spent three weeks at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah before arriving here at her first mission assignment for the church. She has one older brother at college and one younger brother still at home.

Sister Morrill attended Brigham Young University – Hawaii for 1½ years with her major in elementary education. She did custodial work and grounds keeping at the college and also worked at babysitting and housekeeping.

While at home, Sister Morrill enjoys reading books, working origami, and watching action or science fiction movies. She also rides her bike and goes for walks.

Upon completion of her 18-month mission, Sister Montes will return to school, possibly changing her major. She hopes to one day be married in one of the Latter day Saint temples.
