Judge Walsh Presides Over Court Session

Judge Richard J. Walsh of the 39th Judicial District and the Fulton/Franklin County Court of Common Pleas presided over a court session held on Tuesday, August 28, at the Fulton County Courthouse.

 Jason Stephen Crist was ordered to spend between four and 23 months in the Franklin County Prison in connection with an incident that occurred in 2012 at Cowans Gap State Park. Crist will also pay court costs, a $25-per-month supervision fee, $250 for DNA testing and a $250 fine.

 Kenneth Shawn Farley was sentenced to 140 days in the Franklin County Prison with credit granted for time previously served. Farley was arrested in 2010 following an incident involving a female victim at his Needmore area home. Charges at that time included aggravated and simple assault, IDSI, terroristic threats and reckless endangerment.

 John Kevin Lynch was sentenced to 12 to 60 months in the Franklin County Prison for driving under the influence. Lynch will be eligible for work release during his incarceration. In addition, a second charge of driving under suspension-DUI related carried a prison sentence of 90 days.

 Robert Edward Brady was granted a continuance until a later date. Brady will be arraigned at that time on charges of theft and receiving stolen property.

 William John Decyk III appeared for a parole/proation violation hearing. Decyk admitted to two violations and will be sentenced on September 25.

 Joshua D. Ramsey also appeared in court last Tuesday for a parole/probationviolation hearing. Ramsey was sentenced to two to six months in the Franklin County Prison. Credit was granted for time previously served.
