Fix, Truax Win Fair’s Baby Beef Show
Trai Fix, 16-year-old Forbes Road student, showed the grand champion baby beef, while fellow veteran exhibitor and Forbes Road student Brittany Truax showed the reserve champion market steer Monday evening at the 4-H/FFA Market Steer Show at the Fulton County Fair.
Trai’s grand champion steer named “Batman” came from the Heavyweight No. 1 class and its breed is listed as Angus Maine Cross.
Trai is a member of the Forbes Road FFA chapter and will be entering the 11th grade. She has exhibited for eight years. She is the daughter of Rodney and Kristi Fix of Waterfall, Pa.
Last year’s grand champion winner, Brittany Truax, took hon- ors again this year, showing the reserve champion steer named “Ace.” Brittany, 14, has now won three reserve champion and one grand champion in her eight years as an exhibitor. She is a member of the 4-H Chuck Wagon Gang Club and will be entering the ninth grade. She is the daughter of Lee and Suzette Truax of Hustontown, Pa.
