We have been having some of those nice warm temperatures these past few days. It is hard to believe school starts in a couple of weeks. Short summer!

Quite a few folks have been watching the Olympics. Glad to report the USA is doing very well.

A nice crowd attended the festival at Knobsville

U.M. Church on Saturday.

Happy birthday wishes to Ashton Cutchall, August 2; Wyette Munday, August 4; Breanna Kyler, August 8; Casey Englert, August 11; Vivian Covert, August 12 (Vivian is in the extended care unit at FCMC); James Ott, August 13; and Aaron Koons on August 11.

We are sorry to report Lloyd Covert of Orbisonia nursing home isn’t doing as well as we’d like to report. We send get-well wishes his way.

Happy anniversary to Garey and Irene Sprowl on August 1; Dick and Deb Cutchall, August 4; Jim and Alice Chesnut, August 5; and Nelson and Alice Walker on August 13.

June and Bob Bennett just returned home after spending a few days in Maine. They visited his aunt while there.

This being a presidential election year, if you aren’t registered to vote you might consider wanting to do so for this important election.

Keep Lee Tice in your prayers as he is having some consultations, which may lead to surgery. He will be going to Hershey for these services.

Household hint: 1/4 cup of vinegar added to a load of laundry, along with the usual soap will brighten colors and make white sparkle. This will also act as a fabric softener, and inhibit mold and fungus growth, and help kill athletes’ foot germs on socks too.
