Mary C. Kell
Mary C. Kell, 77, devoted wife of the late Ralph B. Kell, of Mc- Connellsburg, Pa., died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg.
She was born in Harrisonville, November 16, 1934, the daughter of the late Alvin S. and Addie M. (Pepper) Strait. She was the widow of Ralph B. Kell, whom she married on October 16, 1957, and he passed away November 16, 2010.
She worked at Johnnie’s Diner, McConnellsburg, in her earlier years, then for Dr. Riggs as a dental assistant and she retired from Fulton Builders in McConnellsburg.
She was a member of United Methodist Church of McConnellsburg, the Eastern Star of McConnellsburg and she also loved NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon.
She is survived by godson Keith Barclay of Yardley, Pa.; sister Louise Mannetti of McConnellsburg; numerous nieces, nephews, greatgreat nieces and nephews and her favorite dog, “Abby.”
She was preceded in death by one sister, Alice Brant; four brothers: Grover, Arthur, Arlie and Bobby Strait; and one greatnephew.
She dedicated her life to providing happiness and support to others, family and friends alike. She will be remembered always for her warm smile and her unconditional caring and friendship provided to all. She made a positive impact and added value and meaning to all of the lives she touched. She was “Aunt Mary” to family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at McConnellsburg United Methodist Church, at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2012, with Pastor John Godissart and Pastor William Bair officiating.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
There will be visitation one hour before the service on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the church.
