Horace Reed Feight Waterfall, 83

Horace Reed Feight, 83, Waterfall, Pa., died at 5:10 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg.

Born October 8, 1928, in Breezewood, Bedford County, he was the son of the late Elmer and Olive E. (Peck) Feight.

He was married to Leta Black on October 31, 1953. She survives at their home.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter: Robin R. Feight and wife Linda, Hustontown; Vincent W. Feight and wife Barbara, Chambersburg, Pa.; and Tona Brant and husband Ted, Mercersburg; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters and one brother: Anna Mae Leidy, Breezewood; Arnold Jay Feight, Everett; and Sylvia Wink, Breezewood.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Loretta Umholtz; four brothers: Robert, Donald, Grover Dale and Leonard Feight; and one son, Gregory.

He was a member of Center United Methodist Church, Waterfall.

He was a member of Forbes Road Lions Club, the advisory board to the Huntingdon Bedford-Fulton Area Agency on Aging and was an honorary member of Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. He was a former 4-H leader and recently received an honorary award from the state FFA program for cooperation and participation in local FFA activities.

He had worked as a restaurant manager and retired in 2009 as a custodian at the Forbes Road High School after 23 years service.

A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he had served with the U.S. Army in the 24th Artillery Division.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. Pastor Betty Secrest officiated. Interment was at Center Cemetery, Waterfall.

The Fulton Honor Guard provided military honors at the cemetery.
