Fred Horne had bypass surgery in Harrisburg last week and is recovering at home.

Our sympathy is extended to the families of Reed Feight and Crystal Strite.

Vacation Bible School at Immanuel Bible Church was well attended this year with some nights topping 120 youths and adults. The event wraps up with a pool party next Friday evening.

Congratulations to James Locke and Tiffany Moore on the birth of their daughter, Kaylee Marie Locke, on Sunday, July 22. She’s a real cutie and is sure to be spoiled by all.

Roger and Pat Ramsey attended a birthday celebration for Micah Ramsey, son of Brian and Emily Ramsey, on Saturday evening. Micah celebrated his third birthday.

Mikey and Aaron Snyder visited with Dave and Carrie Anderson and family last Tuesday and Wednesday.

Recent visitors with Steve, Karen and Terri Grissinger were Donna Locke, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Ramon and Tammy Martin, and Maddison Wible.

Less than a month remains until students return to school. It’s time to load them up for some school shopping.

On Saturday, August 25, a benefit will be held for Larry and Sharon Miller of Shade Gap. The day will start with a cycle ride at 1 p.m. at Shade Gap picnic grounds that will take a very scenic and leisurely ride through the countryside. Registration for the ride begins at 11 a.m. At noon registration for a car and truck show will begin. For more information on this, call 717-816- 1809. A food stand will be open throughout the day, with a silent and regular auction being held at the end of the event.

Immanuel Bible Church will hold its annual yard sale on Saturday, August 11 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There are currently 14 families signed up for the event. Come join us for some yard sale bargains, homemade baked goods and food stand.
