Jim Mills had a double knee replacement surgery last week. We wish him a speedy recovery at home.

Morghan and Westdon Kelley of Camp Hill enjoyed a sleepover last week with grandparents, Donnie and Panda Horne.

Immanuel Bible Church will be hosting Vacation Bible School beginning this Saturday at 4 p.m. with a kickoff picnic. Classes will begin on Sunday evening at 6:15 p.m. andcontinue through Friday evening wrapping up each evening around 8:15 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend; come join this year’s theme “Sky”.

Donna Locke and Joy recently visited with Irene Park of Meadowview Manor. Others visiting were George and Heather Locke.

Joe, Melanie, Cody and Dison Myers hosted a cookout and camping over the Fourth of July holiday. Guests were Betty Ramsey, Kim and Ed Stevens, Hilary, Eric and Elliot Costello, Aden, Luke and Oliver Forslund, Teressa Souders, and Joe and Judy Myers.

Immanuel Bible Church service “Glorifying God at the Gap,” last Sunday was well attended, with many enjoying a full day of beach activities, finishing with an evening meal before heading home. Thanks to all who helped organize this event.

Steve Grissinger, Gordon Locke, and Ramon and Tammy Martin took in a race at Hagerstown Speedyway on Saturday evening while Karen Grissinger checked out the local Wal-Mart.

Terri Grissinger and Tammy Martin visited the Central PA Arts Festival on Friday and then traveled on to Corning, N.Y., where they toured the Corning Museum and walked the steps at Watkins Glen.

Roger and Pat Ramsey had dinner with Brian, Emily, Micah and Adelyn Ramsey on Sunday.

TimStreightiffwas home from Washington, D.C., over the Fourth of July visiting with Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Jen Ramsey, and Kenny, Kristi and Jase Watkins.

Congratulations to Josh Edgin on his successful step up to the Mets major league on Friday. Way to go Josh! The folks back home are so very proud of your success.

With the welcome rains that arrived last week, the garden is producing lots of tasty treats. Tomatoes, onions, beets, beans, cucumbers, peppers, squash and corn make some great additons to a summer meal.

Angel Wings, along with Coons Construction and Toulson Country Crafts, will sponsor a Chinese auction and ham potpie benefit at Three Springs Firehall Saturday, July 21, from1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to benefit Brenda Parks and family. Eat in or takeouts available.

The annualBenKnepper 5Krunwill be held on Saturday, July 28, at Center United Methodist Church. Please support this scholarship run in Ben’s memory. Registrations arebeing acceptednow or on the day of the run.
