Re-Creation performed last weekend at Cito United Methodist and Mc- Connellsburg United Metho-dist Churches. The performance of singing and dancing was very good as usual.

Congratulations to Cory Rouzer and Jamie Lee on their marriage recently in the Open Door Church in Chambersburg. Cory is the son of Barry and Shari Rouzer of St. Thomas and grandson of Bill and Beverly Rouzer of Harrisonville.

Tim and Diane Hann celebrated their wedding anniversary on July 19.

Knobsville Singles Club held its annual picnic at James Buchanan Park on Monday, July 9, and Farm Women held their picnic there on Sunday, July 8 for members and their families.

Record temperatures were broken again last week with more-than-100-degree readings. A day or two of rain would be wonderful.

Rick and Susie Trainor celebrated their 30th anniversary on July 9 with family.

The Lions Club Park ball fields have been busy with ballgames for all ages that are well attended by parents, relatives and friends who turn out in support of their teams.

Toby, Dena, Hannah and Tobias McGarvey and Justin and Tessa Strait enjoyed vacationing in Ocean City, Md., a few days this week.

Local folks enjoyed the parade and a great display of fireworks on Saturday at Path Valley.

Herman and Verla Hill of Needmore attended the Pennsylvania Postmasters Convention of NAPUS at State College June 21 through June 24, 2012. This was Verla’s 51st state postmasters convention. While at the convention, Verla was nominated and elected as the state secretary of the Pennsylvania Retired Postmasters for the years 2013 and 2014.
