Golf carts are lined up to go for last year’s 18th annual Fulton County Medical Center Foundation Golf Tournament. Wendy Farling, the development associate at Fulton County Medical Center Foundation (Foundation) announced last Thursday that the Foundation was accepting sponsors and golfer sign-ups for its event on September 15, 2012. The event will have an 8 a.m. registrationanda9a.m. shotgun start.

According to Farling, this year, the event will raise money for the Foundation’s “For Your Health, For Your Life Campaign.”

“The campaign is being undertaken for muchneeded improvements to the emergency facility at the Medical Center that will upgrade care to include a regional trauma center and a chest pain center,” Foundation President & CEO Robert Roush said. “These projects will require us to make renovations for security and patient flow, as well as obtain accreditation for the services. In the end, it will mean more lives saved.”

Local and regional businesses will have the opportunity to place ads in the program book, or obtain tournament sponsorships, which will include course signage, golfer registrations and cart use. “The cost per golfer this year is $80, which includes lunch. Cash prizes are given for tournament winners such as $400 for first place, $300 for second and $100 for third,” Farling said.
