Two Cited For Trespassing

Two McConnellsburg women have been cited by state police for trespassing at a home located at 606 East Maple Street in Mc- Connellsburg Borough.

Reports state that on Saturday, June 16, Amanda Jo Souders, 27, and 25-yearold Tracey Deneen Jefferson arrived at the residence of a 46-year-old McConnellsburg woman. The two women allegedly became involved in a lengthy argument at 11 p.m. during which they yelled and cursed at the victim. Police said Souders and Jefferson refused to leave the woman’s porch for a short time.

Mischief Reported

Officials at McConnellsburg Elementary School reported to state police unknown individuals climbed onto the roof of the facility between 6 p.m. on June 15 and 9:30 a.m. on June 16. Once there, the individuals damaged eight aluminum air vent covers, a Semco generator and a cable wire. Total damage has been estimated at $5,000. Two Accused Of Harassment

Two McConnellsburg residents have been charged with harassment following a domestic dispute on Wednesday, June 20. State police said the argument between Amanda Virginia Alisea, 24, and 27-year-old Justin Lee Guyer turned physical at 10: 35 p. m. Charges against the duo have been filed through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.

Man Accused Of Trespassing

Forty-eight-year-old Terry Eugene Wilson of McConnellsburg, has been accused of criminal trespassing after an incident at 2 Cloverleaf Court, McConnellsburg. According to state police reports, Wilson arrived at the property belonging to a 51- year- old McConnellsburg man at 6:25 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20. Wilson has been charged through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.

Police Investigate Vehicle Fire

Pennsylvania State Police at the McConnellsburg barracks were dispatched to the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 to investigate a vehicle fire on Wednesday, June 20. Reports state a fire appeared to ignite in the bed of a pickup truck belonging to a Buckingham, Va., man at 4:24 p.m. Anyone with further information concerning this incident of mischief is urged to contact state police Trooper Watkins by calling 717-485-3131.

Fort Littleton Man Arrested For DUI

Thirty-four-year-old Fort Littleton resident John David Hartman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following an incident along Route 30 near Circle Drive. State police said on Sunday, June 24, at 1:14 a.m. Hartman allegedly imbibed sufficient alcohol to render him incapable of operating his vehicle safely. Charges against Hartman will be filed through Magisterial District Judge Devin Horne.

Police Make DUI Arrest

Pennsylvania State Police from the McConnellsburg substation are slated to file charges of driving under the influence against a 45-yearold Thurmont, Md., resident. Police alleged Antoni Shawn Airhart was found to be drunk driving along Route 30 just west of the intersection of Lincoln Way West on Saturday, June 16, at 8:07 p.m. Charges against Airhart will be filed through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.

Access-Device Fraud Reported

The personal information of a 23-year-old Mount Union man was used to make two fraudulent purchases totalling $260.92, state police in McConnellsburg said. Anyone having additional information linked to this case of access- device fraud should call state police Trooper Bartlett at 717-485- 3131.

Found In Possession Of Illegal Drugs

A 23- year- old Crystal Spring man was allegedly found in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia at Lions Club Park on Wednesday, June 20, state police said. Theodore Malloy Grance was highly intoxicated at the time of his 10:45 a.m. arrest, police added. He attempted to flee the park on foot prior to being apprehended by troopers.

Info Sought In Hit-And-Run Crash

Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg are currently searching for information leading to the arrest of the individual responsible for a hit-and-run collision along Lincoln Way East. Police said on Thursday, June 21, an eastbound vehicle sideswiped the driver’s side of a parked 2000 Chrysler Voyager at 3:08 p.m. Anyone with further information pertinent to this case is asked to call state police Trooper Falkosky at 717-485-3131.

One Cited In Domestic Dispute

A McConnellsburg man faces charges of harassment in connection with a domestic dispute at 329 Reservoir Road, according to state police reports. Roy Roger Martz, 33, is accused of grabbing a 38-year-old female, also from McConnellsburg, by the arm during an argument on Saturday, June 23, at 7 p.m. Charges have been filed through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.

Eggs Thrown

Eggs were thrown at a vehicle belonging to a 31-yearold woman between 7 p.m. on June 21 and 10 a.m. on June 22. The incident occurred at 205 South Second Street in McConnellsburg Borough, state police said. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact state police Trooper Garner at 717-485- 3131.

Mailboxes Struck

Two mailboxes located at the intersection of North Clear Ridge Road and Horton Meadow Lane were struck by a vehicle on Saturday, June 23, at noon. Anyone with information concerning this hit-and-run is urged to call state police Trooper Garner at 717-485- 3131.

Purchases Made With Credit Card

Five fraudulent purchases were made using the credit card information of a 64- year-old Needmore woman, according to state police reports. The access- device fraud reportedly occurred on Sunday, June 10.

Woman Cited With Trespassing

A 25-year- old Hustontown area woman has been cited by state police in Chambersburg with criminal trespassing. Natasha Myers allegedly visited 1024 Warm Spring Road in Hamilton Township, Franklin County, on June 24 at 3:06 p.m. Myers, police said, had been told not to come to the address but did so anyway.

Two Uninjured In Crash

Two individuals escaped injury during a two-vehicle crash along Lincoln Way East, state police said on Monday, June 25.

According to reports, a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Chester D. Fournier, 43, of Lewistown, attempted to make a lefthand turn when it was rearended by a eastbound 2000 Subaru Outback. The Subaru, which sustained moderate front- end damage, was driven by 42-year-old McConnellsburg resident Dale Allen Sharrah.

Both Sharrah and Fournier were wearing seat belts when the crash occurred at 10:04 a.m. Sharrah will be cited by state police for following too closely.

Police Investigate Two-Vehicle Crash

Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to investigate a two-vehicle collision that occurred Sunday afternoon in Ayr Township.

Police stated Doris J. Smith, 58, of McConnellsburg, was pulling onto Great Cove Road from Union Church Cemetery at 5:22 p.m. Smith pulled her 2006 Dodge Intrepid in front of a southbound 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Michael L. Shrader, 18, of Big Pool, Md. Following impact, Shrader’s car slid off the road and into a cornfield.

Smith was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. Shrader and his passenger, Mindy Briggs, 22, of Needmore, were not wearing seat belts and suffered minor injuries as well. Children riding in Shrader’s car, a 1-year-old girl, and a 3- year-old boy, were not injured while a 4-year-old girl suffered major injuries.

Police said Smith, Briggs and the three children were transported to Fulton County Medical Center for treatment.

Two Arrested In Argument

Two Needmore residents are being charged with harassment as a result of a domestic dispute at 420 Westview Road, Needmore. According to state police reports, 53-year-old Catherine Swindell and Timothy Swindell, 51, will be charged through Magisterial District Judge Tamela Bard in connection with the June 25, 9:49 a.m. argument.

Cycle Accident Injures Two

Two Monroe, Ind., residents suffered minor injuries when their westbound 2008 Harley-Davidson Ultra Glide was laid onto its leftside while travelling along Route 30. State police said Gary A. Burkhart, 58, and passenger Deborah L. Burkhart, 58, were transported to Fulton County Medical Center via ambulance following the June 23 accident in Licking Creek Township.

Woman, Boy Dead After Swimming Accident

LEHIGHTON, Pa. (AP) – Authorities in eastern Pennsylvania say a boy has died following a swimming accident in a river that also killed his grandmother.

Police told The (Allentown) Morning Call that the two were swimming in the Lehigh River in Lehighton at about 3:30 p.m. Friday when they were caught in a strong current.

Authorities said 49-yearold Wanda Wentz of Lehighton was pronounced dead shortly afterward at a Lehighton hospital.

Seven-year- old Nolan Richie of Coaldale died in Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest at 1:05 a.m. Saturday.

He said the death was accidental and due to drowning in what he called “a terrible swimming accident.”

The accident happened at a popular spot for kayakers and rafters near an old railroad trestle.
