F.C. Christian School Students Score Well On 2012 Achievement Tests

Fulton County Community Christian School is pleased to share the results of the 2012 achievement testing.

Students in kindergarten through 12th grade took the Terra Nova Achievement test in April 2012. A review of the results indicates that the majority of the students are at or above grade level. Specifically, 63 to 78 percent of the students scored at or above the 60th percentile in all subject areas. The percentage of students scoring above the 50th percentile, (at grade level), increases to 85 – 92 percent. Reading scores are highest, with only two students scoring below the national median. Math scores were nearly as high, resulting in 88 percent of the students in all grades, scoring at or above the National median.

FCCCS is especially pleased with the four to nine students for every subtest with scores above the 90th percentile, nine of them in social studies, seven in language composition and language mechanics. Finally, the school wants to recognize the 13 students who scored in the advanced range of the Bible subtest.

These results will be included in FCCCS’s submission of the requirements for Step 4 of the five-step program for certification as an approved member of the Association of Christian Schools International.
