Expanded Truck, Tractor Pulls At 2012 Fulton County Fair
Three truck and tractor pulls will be featured during the 2012 Fulton County Fair August 12-18.
Leading off the week there will be a “smoker” pull Tuesday evening starting August 14, at 7 p.m.
The Tuesday night pull will consist of all diesel powered 4x4 pickups and trucks. The pull will be sanctioned by Orlo Ink with classes for the bone stock 4x4 trucks, 4x4 street trucks and the 4x4 modified pickup trucks. The pull is also open to “over the road” semitruck-tractors and tri-axle trucks. If your truck burns diesel fuel and blows smoke bring to the fair Tuesday evening.
Gas- burning trucks should come out Thursday night, August 16. This pull is for 4X4 trucks (gas-fueled only) and farm stock tractors. The pull is limited to Fulton County and bordering counties residents only. Orlo Ink will also sanction this pull with Orlo Ink rules and weight limits.
There will be three classes of trucks, Street Stock, Small Block Hot and Large Block Hot. There will be two weight classes for the tractors 9,500 pounds and 11,500 pounds competing as farm stock and hot farm stock, gas- or diesel- powered. There is a $15 hook fee for all classes and pit passes are required for pit entry. Drivers will receive one free pit pass.
No alcohol is allowed on the fairgrounds. Additional information as it comes available will be posted prior to fair week.
And for those that like the noise, the Shenandoah Valley Mini Rod pullers will return for Saturday evening, August 18. This pull will be SVTPA-sanctioned pull.
All pulls start at 7 p.m.
