Sympathy goes out to Harry “Eugene” Bain and family on the loss of his wife, Eleanor. Harry was formerly from Big Cove Tannery and resides in Clear Springs, Pa.

John and Annette Rasp will observe their 27th wedding anniversary on June 29.

Congratulations to Public Opinion girls soccer all stars: first team – Libby Strayer and Nikki Fleming; Second team - Sarrah Pollock; honorable mention - Kylie Zittle and Sarra Kendall. Their coach, Toby McGarvey, was named the coach of the yar. Cooper Mc- Garvey, Chambersburg High School, was also named to the first team.

Public Opinion softball all-stars were: second team – Gabby Danner, McConnellsburg; Taelor Morton, South- ern Fulton; and Corri Parsons, Forbes Road. Honorable mention students were: Haley Lashinsky, Sam Clippiner, Braylin Hohman - Forbes Road; Courtney Deshong, Sarrah Pollock and Alexus Mellott - McConnellsburg; and Kim Russell - Southern Fulton

Public Opinion baseball all-stars were: first team – Tristan Douglas, McConnellsburg; second team - Evan Appleby, McConnellsburg; Kyle Schoen, Forbes Road; Jake Fitz,Southern Fulton; honorable mention – Darren McQuade, Levi Crouse and Caleb Christy, Mc- Connellsburg; Tristan Gelvin and Casey Wade - Forbes Road; and Zane Baker and Seth Hall - Southern Fulton.

The descendants of Morrow and Cleonie Kendall held their annual family reunion on Sunday at McConnellsburg Lions Club Park.

The Willing Workers of St. Paul Lutheran Church held their yard and food sale last week.

A birthday party picnic was held on Sunday for Blaire Shives’ second birthday. It was held at the home of her parents, Tony and Seleen Shives, with family members attending. Blaire also has a brother, Bodie.
