Police Investigate Northern Pa. Church Break-ins
TROXELVILLE, Pa. (AP) – State police in north-central Pennsylvania say they're investigating a series of break-ins at churches in four counties over the last two months.
The most recent breakins happened last week in Snyder County. Snacks and drinks were taken from Grace Reformed Church near Middleburg while nothing was taken from Old Schreiners Church near Shamokin Dam.
Investigators say at least 18 churches have been hit in Snyder, Juniata, Northumberland and Union counties in a two-month span. The burglars have made off with cash, laptops, televisions and other items.
One church had $10,000 in music equipment taken in one incident.
