Brian Ramsey was the guest speaker at Walnut Grove Church of God on Sunday. Following services, Brian, Emily, Micah and Adelyn Ramsey spent the afternoon visiting with Roger and Pat Ramsey.

Roger and Pat Ramsey visited with Paul and Susie Schmidt on Sunday evening.

Walnut Grove Church of God will hold its annual chicken barbecue Sunday, June 24, following worship services at the fellowship building. Everyone is invited to attend.

Congratulations to Joe and Amy Horton on the birth of their beautiful daughter, Jessica “Jessie” Danielle Horton, on Saturday, June 16. Big sister Alyssa is already showing her sitter skills and enjoying her new little sister.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, donated and supported the Angel Wings organization’s second annualMattMurphy benefit ride and pig roast honoring Penny Chilcote. Special thank-you goes to the Tuscarora State Park ranger and local fire company, Mike Watkins, Russell and Annette Brantner, DJ Tom, Brian Naugle and family, Frank Wagner, Dan Murphy, Danny Shoop, ShadeGapAuxiliary and Joe Myers for local traffic control. Next year’s ride is already scheduled for the second Saturday in June.

Making Ruth Grissinger’s birthday week special this year were Nora Grissinger, Tamsen Anders, Marybeth Harrington, Donna, Gordon and Justin Locke, Dodie Price, John and Carol Puskarich, and the Cantrell family (Tammy, John, Jayla, Jenny and Cole).

Attending the estate sale of Neva Fleming in Three Springs on Saturday was her brother, Charles Black, who was also celebrating his 91st birthday.

Mark Ramsey and Gordon Locke were on a motorcycle ride on Saturday to benefit the Wounded Warriors.

Recent visitors with Steve, Karen and Terri Grissinger were Maddison Wible, Donna Locke, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Tim Streightiff, Chris Brant, Ramon and Tammy Martin and Dan Jenakovich and granddaughter Kate Starr, friend Lindsey and Dan and Carol’s great-granddaughter.

The annualBenKnepper 5Krunwill be held on Saturday, July 28 at Center United Methodist Church. Please support this scholarship run in Ben’s memory. Registrations are being accepted now or on the day of the run.
