By Kate Berkstresser

We had a great weekend weatherwise. Hope everyone got out and enjoyed it and also hope all fathers had a good day on Sunday.

A nice crowd attended the festival at Knobsville United MethodistChurch on Saturday evening.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage Saturday, June 23, beginning at 6 p.m. The kitchen opens at 5 p.m. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to come and share their talent or just enjoy the talent of others. We hope to see you there.

The reunionofKateBerkstresser andthe lateHerbert Berkstresser family was held on Sunday at Forbes Road Lions Park. Quite a nice group attended and had a nice afternoon.

Sorry to hear Lloyd Covert spent a few days in Fulton County Medical Center. Hope he is doing much better now.

Household Hint: Going on vacation. Plants need watered while gone. Try suspending a baby bottle full of water above your plants. the waterdrips out slowly. If your pant is large you can use a soft drink bottle with a tiny hole pinned near the bottom. Fill with water and place in pot with plastic. This will slowly water plant a long time.
