FCMC and fellow critical-access hospital Jersey Shore have been cost sharing to implement a new computer system that will meet federal standards for meaningful use for the electronic health record. Pictured are FCMC team leaders and staff who are working on the transition project. Beginning July 1, FCMC will implement a new computer system to meet federal standards for meaningful use for the electronic health record. It is a wholesale changeover of technology from billing to patient care. FCMC staff members have been working diligently to build this new system for the past year and a half.

“We are very excited to add a cutting edge information system to complement and support the staff as they provide care to our community” stated Jason Hawkins, president and CEO. During this transition, FCMC asks all patients coming to the facility after July 1 to please be patient as the Medical Center changes over to this new system. You may experience longer wait times as you come for services during this time. FCMC is asking you to bring all your insurance cards, either photo ID or driver’s license, physician orders and updated information. For questions or concerns, please contact FCMC patient advocate Leanne Pollock at 485- 6119.
