Crystal Spring Man Cited After Fleeing Crash

A Crystal Spring man will be cited by state police in Bedford after he allegedly fled the scene of a single-vehicle accident.

Police said Jason M. Reese, 32, was travelling southbound on South Breezewood Road at 6:30 p.m. when his 2000 Dodge Stratus travelled onto the berm and struck a tree along the East Providence Township roadway with its front bumper. Reese, who was reportedly wearing a seat belt and escaped injury, is accused of fleeing the scene.

Access-Device Fraud Reported

A Harrisonville woman told state police investigators two $90 purchases were made using her personal account information on Thursday, May 24. Anyone having further information pertinent to this case should immediately contact state police Trooper Carper at 717- 485-3131.

One Charged With Harassment

A McConnellsburg man is slated to be charged with harassment in connection with a confrontation on Tuesday, May 29, state police said.

Danny Morgan Stotler, 47, was involved in an argument with a 46-year-old McConnellsburg woman at 2:27 p.m. The fight at 675 Buchanan Trail Road, McConnellsburg, eventually escalated into a physical confrontation, police added. Stotler will be cited through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.

Eagles Cited For Liquor Law Violation

The Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement has alleged that the Harrisonville-based Fraternal Order of Eagles Inc. failed to maintain “complete and truthful records covering its operations for a period of two years preceding February 23, 2012, as it pertains to the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act. Penalties for liquor law violations range from $ 50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses.

Burglary Investigated

Pennsylvania State Police from the McConnellsburg barracks responded to a call of a burglary that occurred between 2:30 p.m. on May 26 and 11 a.m. on May 30. The break-in at 614 Spring Road, Bethel Township, occurred when burglars broke an exterior door lock as well as a bedroom door.

In addition to stealing currency, burglars also took a PDA, police said. Damage was estimated at $1,009, and the stolen items were valued at $2,900. Anyone having further information related to this case is urged to contact state police Trooper Piasecki at 717-485-3131.

Mailbox Damaged

A mailbox located at 2196 Barnhart Road in Belfast Township was damaged on Tuesday, May 29, at 2:22 p.m. Victim in the case is a 58- year-old female from Needmore. Anyone with additional information concerning this case of mischief is asked to call state police Trooper Piasecki at the McConnellsburg substation at 717-485- 3131.

Pills Taken

Approximately six Oxycodone tablets were taken from 209 East Poplar Street in McConnellsburg Borough. The theft occurred on Monday, May 28, between 7:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., the 63- year-old female victim told state police investigators. Additional information relevant to this incident should be directed to state police Trooper Sprague at 717-485- 3131.

Vehicle Damaged By Bullet

A 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe parked at 2439 Buck Valley Road in Union Township was struck by a stray bullet on Monday, May 28. The mischief reportedly occurred between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Victim is a 49-year-old Warfordsburg area man. Hancock Woman Arrested For DUI

A Hancock, Md., woman was arrested by state police from the McConnellsburg barracks during a traffic stop near the intersection of Great Cove and Klondike roads on Friday, June 1. State police alleged 48-yearold Elaina Louise Swindell was pulled over for a traffic violation at 3:13 a.m. and determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. She will be charged through Magisterial District Judge Tamela Bard.

Car Hits Guiderails

A McConnellsburg man was uninjured in a single-vehicle accident along Fort Loudon Road in neighboring Franklin County last Friday .

Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg reported 24-year-old Andrew C. Doyle was travelling northbound through Peters Township at 2 p.m. when he drove through a pool of standing water. Doyle’s 2005 Dodge Neon struck a guiderail before travelling across the road and striking another guiderail. Doyle was wearing a seat belt, state police said.

Purse, GPS Unit Stolen

Thieves entered an unlocked vehicle parked along Camp Ridge Road in Licking Creek Township and removed a Garman GPS unit as well as a purse containing medication and a digital camera. The theft occurred between June 2 and 3. Victims include a Harrisonville woman and a female from Greencastle. One Cited For Harassment

A Shade Gap man has been cited for harassment by Pennsylvania State Police from the McConnellsburg barracks as a result of an incident at 244 Glen Hollow Road in Shade Gap.

State police report that on Friday, June 1, Glenn Lawrence Peterson, 56, was involved in an argument with a 48-year- old female, also from Shade Gap. Peterson allegedly threatened the woman with bodily harm during the 7:49 a.m. dispute. Charges against Peterson will be filed through Magisterial District Judge Devin Horne.

Theft Reported On Pigeon Cove

A 66-year-old Warfordsburg man reported to state police investigators several items were stolen from his wooded property between 5 p.m. on May 28 and noon on June 1. The man’s property is located at 2010 Pigeon Cove Road, Bethel Township. The loss has been valued at $760. Teen Charged With Assault

A 15-year-old Warfordsburg boy is facing charges of simple assault and harassment in connection with an argument that occurred at 607 Franklin Mills Road on Friday, June 1.

According to state police reports, the juvenile argued with a 61-year-old Warfordsburg woman over a video game at 1 p.m. at the Bethel Township residence. The argument reportedly escalated when the boy allegedly struck the woman in the head, pinched her on the arms and hit her with a stick.

Woman Drives Vehicle Without Permission

Twenty-six-year-old Mc- Connellsburg resident Mandy Lou Robenolt is accused of driving a 2000 Ford Explorer without the permission of the owner, a 53-yearold McConnellsburg woman. State police said the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle occurred between 6 p.m. and 10 p. m. on May 25. Robenolt has been charged through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.

Gun Shots Fired

Two shots from a gun were fired from a white Dodge truck with lights extending across the roof on May 24, state police reported. The shots were fired while passing a vehicle occupied by four area teens who were travelling along Plum Hollow Road, Dublin Township, between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Anyone having additional information linked to this case of reckless endangerment should immediately contact state police Trooper Garner by calling 717-485-3131.

Fugitive From Justice Found

Pennsylvania State Police at the McConnellsburg barracks arrested a fugitive from justice wanted in Delaware for a probation violation. Twenty-three-yearold Phillip Michael Wright of Harrington, Del., was captured at 597 Nature Lane in Bethel Township on Thursday, May 31, at 6:10 a.m. Wright was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Tamela Bard and transported to the Franklin County Prison where he awaits extradition to Delaware.
