North End Garden Club’s annual book, bake and plant sale at Fulton County Library was the most successful ever, raising more than $3,000 to benefit the library’s reading program for children.

Club members provided and sold a wide assortment of house plants, vegetables, perennials, trees and shrubs in addition to an array of delicious baked goods, including pies, cakes, cookies and breads. While patrons perused the plants, baked goods and books for sale, club members served up homemade soups, barbecue, hot dogs and drinks from the library’s kitchen.

The membership of North End Garden Club consists of novice to master gardeners who meet monthly for social, educational, and community service projects. New members are always welcome and anyone wishing to join should call 717-485-5736 for more information.
