Charles E Divelbliss, 81, North Rose, N.Y., died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at home.
Born May 23, 1930, in Bethel Township, Fulton County, Pa., he was a son of John E. and Ethel Crawford Divelbliss.
He was a veteran of the Army, taking part in the Korean Conflict.
He retired in 1992 from the Wayne County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of North Rose Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sarah; a daughter, Debbie (Rick) Miller, Walcott, N.Y.; two granddaughters: Brandi Henner and Melody Divelbliss; a greatgranddaughter, Alycia; five siblings: Lloyd (Betty) Divelbliss, Lyons, N.Y.; Dorothy (Jim) Black, McConnellsburg; Helen ( Ray) Barr, Chambersburg; Carl (Carol) Divelbliss, Lyons, N.Y., and Millie (Matt) Luber, Lyons, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Roger, in 2005; and five siblings: Verda, Irene, Betty, Herb and Ralph.
Services were held Saturday, May 26, at 10 a.m., at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, North Rose, N.Y. Burial was made in Rose Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the North Rose Ambulance in Chuck’s memory.
