Hunters Helping Kids Holds Annual Banquet



The Mason-Dixon Chapter of Hunters Helping Kids gathered for its annual banquet Saturday, May 19, at Hustontown Firehall. Event organizer and chapter President Troy Miller reported that the evening kicked off with a multitude of raffles and games, which were followed by a delicious meal prepared by the Hustontown Auxiliary. Miller stated that following the meal a live auction was conducted wth assistance from Dale Dodson, national director of Hunters Helping Kids. Mason- Dixon Hunters Helping Kids raised $13,000 through the event to help offset costs associated with taking kids hunting, fishing and educating them about the outdoors. In addition, Fred Waite and Ronnie Richards, president and treasurer of Mason-Dixon Safari CIub, presented Miller $500 to help with the organization’s ongoing efforts. Miller noted the local Safari Club has been a big supporter of Mason-Dixon Hunters Helping Kids over the last five years.
