McConnellsburg Senior Center folks are busy this week preparing strawberries for the festival.

St. Paul Lutheran Willing Workers attended “An Evening With Buddy Holly,” at Totem Playhouse recently that they really enjoyed.

Sharon Glazier and her daughter, Tricia of Massachusetts, returned home Saturday from a bus tour in the South, including New Orleans and other points of interest.

Leonard and Bertha Morris will observe their 37th wedding anniversary on June 7.

Congratulations to all the seniors who have graduated in the county. Southern Fulton on May 24, with 66 graduates; Forbes Road on May 25, with 36 seniors; and Mc- Connellsburg on May 31 with 54 seniors. Fulton County community Christian School will graduate four and Harrisonvile Independent Holiness School three. Good luck and may your future be blessed.

Don’t forget the Strawberry Festival and the fireman’s parade on June 9. A car show will be added this year.

Don’t forget swimming lessons will be given at Great Cove Golf Course starting in June.

McConnellsburg K-4 children had their graduation on Wednesday evening.

Louise Long and Kay Mc- Garvey visited with their former neighbor Alma Anderson last Thursday in the Shirleysburg Home.

A sleepover birthday party was held on Friday night for Kaylee Tu who was six and Jenna Wible, who was 5 at the home of their parents, Lindsey Miller and Jerris Wible.

St. Paul Lutheran Church in McConnellsburg recognized 50- years-and- over members on Sunday.

Congratulations to Andrew “Andy” Cutchall and Sarah Paylor on their marriage on Sunday, May 27, at Greencastle Green Gardens.
