MHS To Hold Graduation May 31

A total of 54 students will graduate Thursday, May 31, from McConnellsburg High School.

Baccalaureate services will be held Tuesday, May 29, in the high school auditorium. Valeria Schmidt of Mc- Connellsburg United Church of Christ will provide the sermon, along with Rev. Goddisart, Sister Martha and Fr. Nale.

Graduation exercises will be held in the auditorium Thursday, May 31. The names of the class valedictorian and salutatorian were not available at press time. They will appear in next week’s issue.

Class officers are president - Justin Deshong; vice president - Dakota Deneen; secretary - Emily Watkins and treasurer - Nicolas Mc- Clure. The class motto is “Act as though you were to live forever and live as though you were to die tomorrow.” The class chose calla lilies as their flower and the colors are royal blue and white. Class hymn is “Let There Be Peace On Earth” and class song is “Home Sweet Home.”

Serving as class advisors are Joni Dunkle, Sherri Perry, Donnie Gordon, Joshua McKelvy and Neill Miller.
