Worship Services Return To Cowans Gap And Grist Mill

The Chaplains in the Parks ministry of the Pennsylvania Council of Churches will host a Memorial Day Prayer Breakfast, on Monday, May 28, at the Burnt Cabins Grist Mill pavilion. Join us for a breakfast of biscuits and gravy at 9 a.m., followed by a Memorial Day service of prayer and remembrance. Breakfast is by donation to the chaplaincy committee.

The Chaplains in the Parks ministry at Cowans Gap State Park and the Burnt Cabins Grist Mill will begin its 53rd season of ministry with the upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend. Sunday, May 27, will mark the beginning of Sunday morning services at the pavilion at the Burnt Cabins Grist Mill at 8:30 a.m. and at Cowans Gap State Park amphitheater at 10 a.m. Weekly nondenominational services are provided at both locations between Memorial Day and Labor Day for campers and are open to members of the public who also wish to attend.

In addition to weekly chapel services, the Chaplains in the Parks ministry offers other activities at Cowans Gap State Park and the Burnt Cabins Grist Mill throughout the summer.
