FR Students Visit Vietnam Memorial

Twenty-eight students from Forbes Road Elementary School’s sixth-grade class visited Washington, D.C., on May 11, 2012. While at the Vietnam Memorial, three students honored a family member or friends who died in this conflict. Kately Doney read about her grandfather, Richard L. Park. Mara Brumbaugh read about a family friend, Ronald Redenius. Steven Lynn read about his grandfather’s roommate at West Point, Walter Wood. The class sang the “Star Spangled Banner” and left the wreath pictured here at the Vietnam Memorial.
