Eichelberger To Hold Fulton County Town Hall Meeting

Opportunity for constituents to discuss concerns regarding state issues
SPECIAL TO THE NEWS

Sen. John H. Eichelberger Jr. will host the third of nine town hall meetings scheduled throughout the 30th Senatorial District this year Thursday, May 17, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Needmore

Firehall.

These meetings are part of the senator’s effort to make state government accessible for all people in his district. Town hall meetings are open to the public, providing residents with a chance to speak directly with the senator about issues important to them.

The meeting will open with a brief video of the “Four-Alarm Fire” press conference Sen. Eichelberger and Rep. Stephen Bloom (R-Carlisle) held in February. The “four-alarm fire” in Pennsylvania refers to ballooning state debt, corrections costs, public welfare growth and government employee pensions.

“It is important that the citizens are involved in the process as we work to overcome the challenges of today,” said Eichelberger. “I look forward to meeting with people in this open setting.”
