It was another busy weekend of racing in Central PA with only one track getting rained out and that was Friday night action at Williams Grove Speedway.
Cory Haas tuned up for the World of Outlaws invasion at Lincoln Speedway with his second win of the year in the 30-lap Outlaw Tuneup for 410 Sprints. Haas came out on top after a thrilling battle with Danny Dietrich to take the win over Dietrich, Brian Montieth, Alan Krimes and Logan Schuchart.
Lady racer Brie Hershey captured her first career 358 sprint car win at Lincoln, taking the win over Jan Luckenbaugh, Doug Hammaker, Tim Wagaman and Mike Bittinger.
Russ Mitten opened the Williams Grove Speedway Saturday night series with a win in the Super Sportsman feature. Mitten led all 20 laps, taking the win over Mike Enders, Frankie Herr, Bobby Hockenberry and Scott Dellinger.
Defending champion Gene Knaub won the 358 late model feature over Roy Miller, Wes Alleman, Travis Mease and Jake Jones.
Rick Lafferty made a late race pass on Keith Kauffman to pick up the 410 Sprint car win Saturday at Port Royal Speedway. Kauffman finished second over Justin Henderson, Chad Layton and Dave Ely. Mike Wagner finished sixth.
Tim Wilson won both ends of Port Royal’s late model features. He won the makeup feature that was rained out on March 31 over Mike Lupfer, Mitch Hack, Derek Byler and Matt Parks, with Chad Hollenbeck, Brett Schadel, Devin Friese and Mitch Hack following Wilson in the regular main.
Josh Beard recorded a career first 358 sprint car feature win Saturday at Selinsgrove Speedway defeating Derek Locke, Pat Cannon, Larry Kelleher and Jason Shultz.
Matt Cochran was also a first-time Selinsgrove winner as he won the late model main over Donnie Schick, Jeff Rine, Jim Yoder and Ken Trevitz.
Nick Dickson met a season goal of winning at Hagerstown Speedway after he picked up the win Saturday night in the 25-lap late model feature. Dickson took the win over his hero, Gary Stuhler, with Frankie Plessinger, Dan Stone and Stevie Long. Tyler Hershey finished 15th.
Chris Ebersole won the pure stock feature over Tony Catlett, Kevin Koontz, Steve Lowery and Charlie Pensinger while Gary Proctor won both Hobby Stock mains.
Austin Hogue was the 358 Sprint car winner Friday at Trail-Way Speedway over Brad McClelland, Randy Whisler, Kyle Moody and Tim Wagaman.
Jack Pencil made it two wins on the season in Bedford Speedway late model action Friday as he took the win over Jeff Rine, Eric Zembower, Matt Sponaugle and Ron Delano.
Robbie Black was the Bedford late model sportsman winner over Tim Smith and Josh Berrier.
Carl Billet won for the 55th career time in Susquehanna Speedway 358 late model action Saturday. Billet won over Chase Billet, Justin Ehrhart, Randy Christine, Jr., and Billy Wampler.
The World of Outlaws are in town tonight (Wednesday) at Lincoln Speedway and then Friday and Saturday at Williams Grove.
