Hancock 0

Southern Fulton’s Seth Hall shut out Hancock Saturday during the first of two non- league games. Hall struck out four batters while walking one and giving up four hits for the Indians, who downed Hancock 2-0.

Southern Fulton came from behind to down Hancock in game two of Saturday’s non-league doubleheader. The Indians were led by pitcher Jordan Clingerman who struck out eight batters, walked one and gave up five hits and one earned run during five innings on the mound. Clingerman also had an RBI triple at the plate, and Levi Mellott tied the game for the Indians with a sacrifice fly RBI in the fourth inning.

Southern Fulton sent three pitchers to the mound on Friday but at the plate it was Tristan Douglas who rallied to aid the Indians during a 14-6 loss to Northern Bedford. Douglas batted two-forthree, which included a solo homer in the seventh inning. He also scored three runs and stole two bases, while teammate Jake Fitz went two-for-four with two RBIs. Pitcher Brayden Litton finished four innings before injuring his back, but it was brother Connor Litton who took the loss with three strikeouts, five walks, six hits and six earned runs.

McConnellsburg 7

Southern Fulton jumped out to a five-run lead in the opening inning last Tuesday and cruised onto an 11-7 Sideling Hill League win over McConnellsburg. Winning pitcher Jordan Clingerman recorded two strikeouts, five walks, six hits and five earned runs. Meanwhile, Brayden Litton picked up the save with three strikeouts and two hits over the final two innings. Teammates Clingerman, Tristan Douglas and Jake Fitz each tallied two hits, which included a homer for Douglas. McConnellsburg pitcher Evan Appleby lasted over five innings on the mound and tallied one strikeout, nine hits and one walk. Darren McQuade batted two-for-four, and Dalton Garlock and Levi Crouse both posted doubles.

Chestnut Ridge 7

Forbes Road’s Casey Wade pitched a solid game for the Cardinals last Tuesday leading his teammates on the mound for a 11-7 win over Chestnut Ridge. Wade tallied eight strikeouts and gave up one hit, five earned runs and three walks. At the plate, Wade racked up two doubles. Teammate Dylan Black recorded three hits, which included a double and two RBIs. Tristan Gelvin added a double, and Brett Burger contributed a triple.

Forbes Road 3

Chestnut Ridge 2

Sweeping Chestnut Ridge in game two of last Tuesday’s doubleheader, the Forbes Road Cardinals saw their league record increase to over .500. Debuting on the mound, Kyle Schoen struck out five batters, walked three and gave up six runs and two earned runs during the 3-2 Sideling Hill League win. Brett Burger rounded out the game with two RBIs.

Pitcher Kelsey White recorded her first win of the spring season Saturday leading the Southern Fulton Lady Indians to a 19- 0 trouncing of Hancock. White finished five innings with four strikeouts, one walk and two hits. Meanwhile at the plate, Taelor Morton contributed three hits and two RBIs. Kim Russell tallied three RBIs and Jordan Deneen also had 3 hits. Allison Spade had the Indians lone extra-base hit, a double.

Southern Fulton Lady Indian Allison Spade finished out Saturday’s doubleheader against Hancock with six RBIs and two doubles. Southern Fulton finished out game two winning the nonleague match by a margin of 6-1. Pitcher Marley Elbin struck out six at the plate while giving up five hits and one earned run.

Northern Bedford 1

Southern Fulton pushed a base runner across the plate in the third inning and held on for a 4-1 Sideling Hill League win over Northern Bedford. During Friday's victory, pitcher Marley Elbin gave up only one earned run and struck out five batters. At the plate Elbin had two hits, one run scored and an RBI. Maddie Mellott added an RBI single as well.

McConnellsburg 3

Southern Fulton and Mc- Connellsburg took last Tuesday’s match-up into extra innings with the Lady Indians prevailing for the 5-3 Sideling Hill League win. Taelor Morton batted four-for-five with three RBIs for Southern Fulton, and teammate Kim Russell was four-for-four with two runs. Indians pitcher Marley Elbin garnered her sixth victory of the season with seven strikeouts, six walks, four hits and three earned runs. Losing pitcher Gabby Danner had three strikeouts, one walk and 10 hits.

Chestnut Ridge 15

Forbes Road 1

Junior Corri Parsons led the Forbes Road Lady Cardinals at the plate Tuesday night, batting two-for-three during her team’s 15-1 loss to Chestnut Ridge. Teammate Alex Ritchey posted a triple. Pitcher Braylin Hohman finished out the league game striking out one batter, walking nine and allowing 11 hits.

Forbes Road 0

Chestnut Ridge swept Forbes Road last Tuesday evening clinching the second game of the Sideling Hill League double header in only five innings. Corri Parsons recorded the Cardinals only extra-base hit, a double. In her first time pitching this season, Sammie Clippinger took the loss with one strikeout, four walks and eight hits.
