Philip C. Prager McConnellsburg, 89

Philip C. Prager, 89, formerly of McConnellsburg, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at The Village at Laurel Run in Fayetteville, Pa.

He was born June 6, 1922, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Paul and Louise Fischer Pragliola. He was married to the late Shirley Prager.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in McConnellsburg, where he served as endowment treasurer. He also served on the Fulton County Medical Center board for six years, serving as the president from 1989-1991.

He is survived by three sons: Mark Prager, Kenneth Prager and Lee Prager; nine grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Shirley.

He was in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a graduate aeronautical engineer and his career included work for NASA, the Boeing Co., consultant to the United States Air Force and a professor of Engineering at Swarthmore College.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church in McConnellsburg with Rev. Evan Smith officiating.
